We are assisting a client in their search for an experienced RN/Corporate Compliance Officer to fill their corporate, enterprise-wide role, serving as a resource to their programs and senior leadership regarding issues of Compliance & QA/PI.
Service lines: Home Health (skilled), Private Duty, Hospice, Palliative Care, Homecare (non-skilled / ADL) experience. IDD (Individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities) Habitational Training Services (HTS), Daily Living Support (DLS), Agency Companion and Respite, Vocational Rehab
The Corporate Compliance Nurse is a professional, registered nurse responsible for all the quality activities of the organization and will work with area Directors, review charts of multiple sites, develop education and training tools as well as maintain the Program integrity. The Corporate Compliance Nurse is responsible for designing and implementing policies, programs, and processes to ensure the organization is compliant will all federal, state and accreditation standards, guidelines and regulations and will ensure the highest degree of quality is adhered to in the care of patients. Will also be responsible for providing indirect patient care services primarily by performing medical record reviews according with the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Contributes to the fulfillment of the organization’s mission/vision by performing various audits with ongoing monitoring of essential services related to compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and identified QAPI programs.
- Coordinates ongoing discussions of quality and quality outcomes as needed at leadership meetings with associated development of improvement plans as identified.
- This is a corporate enterprise-wide role, serving as a resource to programs and senior leadership regarding issues of compliance, QA/PI.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years in the healthcare industry in the area of Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement or Compliance
- Responsible for multiple locations, ideally in multiple states
- BS degree or better in Nursing, or Health Care related degree
- Experience in developing and implementing a Corporate Compliance program
- Skilled in drafting and submitted corrective action plans
- Skilled in external audits
- Familiar with state and federal regulations for Home Care, Hospice, Home Health
- Good social skills and a team player that works well with others
- Perhaps was an operator at one time prior to moving to Quality, so has appreciation for the day to day running of the business
- Human Resources experience would also be a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Home Health & Hospice Industry experience is MANDATORY
- EMR experience
- Registered Nurse
- 10+ years in the healthcare industry in the area of Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement or Compliance
- Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical nursing experience (an emphasis in home care/hospice nursing is preferred)
- Two (2) years of hospice experience preferred, with a strong knowledge of hospice regulatory standards
- Ability to implement and maintain audits for compliance and quality
- Excellent understanding of performance improvement, quality assessment, and utilization management
- Is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
